A Four-Cook Kitchen

It began with a typical U-shaped kitchen well suited for a one-cook family. They loved the idea of simplicity in an entire wall of stainless appliances and cabinets. Two pantries with a sliding door storage system and deep drawers solved storage issues without resorting to upper cabinets. A French door refrigerator was added.  Richard J. Farrell

Leverage in Lighting

The kitchen’s sleek modern design was incorporated into the overall eclectic mix of mid-century style that was prevalent throughout the home. This was achieved in part by using a dramatic mix of rich espresso and warm brandy stains on cherry cabinets, porcelain tile with random patterned glass mosaic backsplash, and countertops of granite tile and laminate. Beaux Arts Kitchen

A collection of influential art schools in France,was the inspiration for this kitchen space. Marble countertops harmonize with the custom mosaic top for the island. White cabinets are softened with the use of green cabinets on the island and dish pantry. Friedemann Weinhardt
