Sendak Lamp

Fri 10 2007

sendak.JPGLaura Spector’s Sendak Lamp is perfect for anyone who has ever made mischief of one kind or another. Inspired by Maurice Sendak’s classic, Where The Wild Things Are, these birch tree lamps will transform any room into a forest
Made from molds taken from silver birch trees, then cast in aluminum with a rough hewn finish and irregular edges, these lamps have a strong sculptural profile that would work in both traditional and modern rooms.
The lamps are available in table and floor versions (28” h and 68” respectively,) while the 20” wall sconce comes mounted on a blackened steel plate.

  1. Thank you so much for including my Sendak Lamp on your blog. What a great idea-I spent a good 1/2 hr just looking at all the products and being inspired!
One thing, though- the Sendak lamp pictured is the “organic version.”
To have a look at the bronze version check out this link on my web site:http://www.lauraspectorrusticdesign.com/works.php?active_category=lamp&active_product=2&cat_count=
I’m keeping your blog as a “favorite” . You can be my “link” to the world of designers!
    Thank you again
    Laura
