Black Oak Designer’s Touch

The very dark brown coloring of Black Oak  Designer’s Touch is created by “fuming” the company’s 9/16-inch White Oak Variation style flooring. This industry-exclusive process changes the hearty-grained Oak species’ golden hues to deep shades of brown. Many of the natural golden highlights in the grain figuring is unaffected by the fuming process and is found randomly throughout the floorboards. The dramatic difference of color gives this floor a bold and expressive appearance. Quartersawn sections, mineral streaks and small to large sized knots can also be found and adds interest and dimension to the flooring.

Black Oak  Designer’s Touch dark richness permeates the entire profile thickness, which ensures that the color will not be scratched or worn off or sanded through. With no surface stain to wear through, the floor can be sanded and refinished time and time again without the costly expense and down time of staining to recreate the original color of the flooring.
